How is breast prosthesis done?
Normally, implants are cut in three different places in the breast, and depending on the type of prosthesis and the person’s requests, incisions may be made in the armpit, on the brown tissue of the nipple, or under the breast. Of course, these cuts are not very deep, and after making the necessary cuts, the implants is placed in these parts and stitched.
Who are candidates for breast implants?
- Women with small breasts
- Women who have asymmetrical and uneven breasts
- Some women who have undergone breast removal surgery due to the presence of a cancerous mass, and need a prosthesis to reshape their breast.
Care before surgery
- Performing a pregnancy test before implant, as well as performing tests and taking photos to ensure that there is no problem before surgery.
- Consultation with the surgeon regarding how to cut and place the implants before doing it
- Not using anti-inflammatory drugs and other drugs such as ibuprofen, and aspirin, which have a negative effect on blood coagulation, one week before surgery.
- Avoiding the use of alcoholic beverages for two weeks before surgery
Post-operative careÂ
- At the time of discharge, it is necessary to give the necessary painkillers and antibiotics to the patient
- Using a special bra for a long time after the surgery
- Bathing for three days after breast prosthesis
- Performing control examinations after 4 to 6 weeks
